The thing most people get wrong
Most entrepreneurs are quietly choosing between who they are and what they’re building.

Choosing between depth and ambition. Between a life that means something and a business that actually grows. Between going inward and moving forward.

It’s a false choice.

The answer is both. Always both.

The deeper the roots, the higher the canopy can reach. It’s the law that governs every living system, including yours.

What brings people here

You haven’t lost your drive. You’re just drifting.

The entrepreneurs I work with are already capable. Already driven. Already, by many measures, doing well. What brings them to this work is something quieter.

Some have built the thing. They just don't recognize themselves in it. The metrics are good. The trajectory is right. And yet the whole thing feels like it belongs to someone else.

Others have found what they care about, but they’re getting in their own way growing it. What got them here won’t get them there. The habits and beliefs that built the first chapter are now the ceiling on the next one.

Both are forms of drift. And no amount of planning, optimising, or grinding resolves it, because the problem isn’t the strategy. It’s what no strategy can reach.

Neither should you.”
About Alex

Two paths. One life.

My whole life has been moving toward the same thing from two different directions. One ran through wilderness excursions, meditation, and philosophy. The other ran through BCG, C-suite teams, and growth strategy. The work I do now is what happens when those two paths finally meet.

The first direction started early. As a teenager I taught swimming and snowboarding. What I loved wasn’t the sport. It was watching someone discover they could do something they didn’t think they could. At 24 I volunteered at a Buddhist monastery in the Himalayas of Nepal, teaching English, living in the mountains, and leaning into a growing practice in meditation and eastern philosophy. In 2017 I took two months away from BCG to live on a small island in Indonesia, work at a dive shop, and become a certified Divemaster. A few years later, another leave, this time exploring new terrain inside and out across BC. These were not detours. They were always the point.

The other direction came from genuine ambition, and I’ll admit, from a definition of success I had inherited rather than chosen. Eight years at BCG, advising C-suite teams on strategy, growth, and large-scale transformation, gave me the strategic foundation I bring to every client. What I found, eventually, was that the work that most energised me was not solving the business problem. It was developing the people around it. When BCG selected me as their first Team Coach in North America, the two paths were already converging before I had a name for it.

Ways to work together

Where do you want to begin?

One-on-One Coaching

Deep, customized work built around your specific terrain: your values, your vision, your patterns, your edges.

I don’t offer a standard program. There’s no such thing as a standard person. If we work together, you are the content. Our program is you.

Most clients work with me for six months at minimum. Many continue for a year or longer. The work compounds.

Group Programs

One-on-one coaching is deeply personal. A group brings something different: the energy of peers navigating the same terrain, shared accountability, and the realisation that you’re not alone in this.

A small-group program is in development. Get in touch to be notified when it launches.

Speaking

For organizations and gatherings of people who make things. Talks that challenge the false choice between meaning and success and leave something that doesn’t wash off.

Available for select engagements. Get in touch to explore.

What the work produces

In their words.

I stopped fixating on whether I was on the right path and started seeing and building on the progress I was actually making.

Invested 1,000+ hours into the business. Launched a product with 800+ units sold. A second in development.

The first conversation.

A chance to get clear on where you are, where you want to be, and whether this is the right fit. Not a sales call. An honest conversation about what’s possible and whether we should work together.

If the fit is there, we’ll talk about what that looks like.

If it isn’t, we’ll both know it.
