I believe all effective teams have three elements:

Trust + Communication + Accountability

Items like vision, strategy, or role clarity contribute to success but are valuable only in the presence of these three elements.

*There is a fourth element - Diversity - but it’s best addressed through different mechanisms.

“I would strongly recommend Alex as a coach. He helped my team of 10 people to navigate challenging dynamics, and was a big factor in elevating our performance as individuals and as a team.”

The role of team development.

Teams Alex has been on

Why work with teams?

Many of my best memories and greatest challenges took place in a team environment. My varied experiences include as a:

  • Coach and facilitator for 30+ workplace teams

  • Leader or member of 20+ workplace teams

  • Member of 10+ sports or volunteer teams

I’ve seen teams that keep improving, teams that acknowledge their issues but get stuck, and teams that don’t recognize their issues. In recent years I have leveraged my coaching skills to help teams develop the mindset and skills to work and live well as a team. This is what I call team development.

What can I help with?

What can I help with?

I support teams with developing their:

  • Trust, communication, and accountability (three elements)

  • Shared vision and goals which contribute to it

  • Team culture and ‘norms’ which reinforce it

  • Opportunities for learning and growth

  • Prioritization and work-life balance

  • Models for remote or hybrid work

  • …and more

How does it work?

How does it work?

To foster team development, I offer customizable programs which combine coach-facilitated sessions with resources, insights, and reminders. My support lasts a minimum of 4 months to help ensure you start seeing results, but the types of conversations which our work together sparks will continue for long afterwards.

If you think your team may benefit from something like this, check out the 'base’ programs below and get in touch.
